The EQLZ® FAULT Off-Court Retro Series is a key model in the brand's three major sneaker product lines for 2022. "BALLERMADE" is a unique product philosophy and design logic inherent to the EQLZ brand, committed to making products originate from the court and return to the streets. The outsole of this series is inspired by the growth rings of logs and geological strata, upholding the natural design language that the brand has adhered to since EQLZ® OASIS. Designer Wukong attempted to pay homage to the silhouette of sneakers from the golden canvas era of the 70s and 80s with the simplest language; the extra-long laces and thick fabric strips at the ankle reflect the era that belongs only to basketball.

The FAULT series' unique open forefoot outsole and rebellious front-mounted heel tab are important signals from the brand to the times. These two classic designs originated from the initial vulcanized shoe design; a chance occurrence led to the extra-thick vulcanized side strips, resulting in the "misprinted outsole" form we see today.
